The RESO Universal Parcel Identifier (UPI) is a model for accurately identifying properties using parcel recording structures within a global framework.
In the U.S., it is a way to communicate parcel numbers unambiguously without collisions of similar identifiers between county assessors. The UPI has been created to support all special characters one might encounter from different data sources. Contact dev@reso.org with further questions.
