Broker Advisory Workgroup

The RESO Broker Advisory Workgroup identifies issues facing brokers of all sizes, provides specific recommendations to the Board of Directors on opportunities to support the needs of the broker industry through standard creation and evolution, and promotes RESO as a driving force for the collective future of the industry.

Group objectives include recruiting volunteers for participation in the group itself, working on broker-facing surveys on data and technology pain points directly related to consumer customers, and creating a guide for working with real estate data. The group meets bimonthly.

Broker Advisory Workgroup Chair – David Gumpper, President of Intelligence & Technology at WAV Group and Founder/CEO at Gumpper Group, LLC

David’s passion for finding strategic opportunities in the world of technology has allowed him to recognize that the perceived complexity of technology is a distraction for many business leaders. The problem frequently lies in technology being viewed as purely tactical, isolated from business strategy and fiercely territorialized by technologists. David’s approach is focused on eliminating these hindrances.

David has more than 25 years of experience as a technologist and has deployed and managed information technology platforms for the University of Dentistry and Medicine of New Jersey, Ricoh Corporation, and Novartis Pharmaceuticals before joining Michael Saunders & Company as Director of Information Technology and eventually Chief Technology Officer.

David obtained a Florida real estate sales associate license in order to better understand the working life of the real estate professionals he serves. This has enabled him to participate in industry-wide strategies as a licensed real estate volunteer. Since 2013, David has participated in several National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) advisory boards and committees, including the Multiple Listing Technology and Emerging Issues Advisory Board, Multiple Listing Issues & Policy Committee, and Leading Edge Advisory Board. David has been able to coalesce his technology expertise and business knowledge to provide broad strategic thinking.

David’s leadership and commitment to the industry continued when he was appointed as Chair to the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Marketing Technology Advisory Council (MTAC). He has served on RESO’s Board of Directors and was asked to launch and lead the RESO Broker Advisory Workgroup in 2018.

David currently resides in Bradenton, Florida with his wife, Kelly, and he has two adult sons.

Broker Advisory Group Vice-Chair – Jeff Bosch, Director of MLS Services, MARIS

Jeff’s desire to become more involved in RESO stems from a passion to see better access to data, improved data quality, and enhanced data tools to fuel further modernization of the real estate industry and help practitioners meet evolving consumer demands.

Jeff is most energized by locating disconnects, breaking down barriers in understanding and fostering communication to build better relationships.

In late 2000, Jeff made the leap from the printing and direct mail industry into residential real estate and never looked back. He has been a real estate agent, educator, relocation specialist and investor. He spent eight years in branch management before exploring a new opportunity in the MLS space with MARIS in 2018. He co-created a unique MLS outreach position focusing on brokers, management teams, team leaders and key association stakeholders. This position initially focused on broker business development, trouble-shooting and product education while establishing communication and relationships with marketplace influencers. It has evolved into helping reinforce MLS initiatives and changing industry culture while shepherding marketing, support, compliance and member engagement staff.

Previously, Jeff has served as a Director for the St. Louis Board of REALTORS® and on the MARIS Board of Directors as Chairperson. Currently, he serves on the Advisory Board for the St. Louis REALTORS® Leadership Academy and in the Workshops Workgroup for the Council of Multiple Listing Services. Jeff enjoys travel, boating, hiking and spending time with family. He lives in St. Louis with his wife, Angela, and their miniature schnauzer, Leeloo.
