Product Updates
Data Dictionary
Data Elements Approved for Data Dictionary Version 2.2 (Minor)
PoolCommunityYN Field (Boolean) – Approved new field to go along with the existing PoolPrivateYN field.
Study – Approved as a new lookup under the RoomType and FireplaceFeatures fields. Study also currently exists under ImageOf.
Survey – Approved as a new lookup under the LotSizeSource field. Adding Survey under LotSizeSource brings consistency to the lookups of the measurement source fields, as it currently exists under LotDimensionsSource and RoomLengthWidthSource.
Screened Porch – Approved as a new lookup under the ImageOf field.
Data Elements and Changes Approved for Data Dictionary Version 3.0 (Major)
Move the Humidifier lookup from Appliances to OtherEquipment – Humidifier and Dehumidifier are currently in two different fields. The decision to move one of them so that they are both under OtherEquipment increases consistency in the Data Dictionary.
Change the name of the HorseYN field to HorsesPermittedYN – The new name provides more clarity to the meaning of the field.
New Projects / Focus Groups
Data Dictionary Wiki – This will be a RESO staff-led focus group to redesign the Data Dictionary Wiki. This will include selecting a new platform and wiki generator.
RESO Desktop Client – This is another RESO staff-led focus group to review, test and improve the upcoming RESO Desktop Client, which will be a desktop-based version of RESO Analytics.
Schools / Geographies Subgroup – Chaired by Dan Troup of Broker Pubic Portal and Al McElmon of Cotality, this group will work to standardize the City, PostalCode and Schools fields. Any changes from this group will be major changes for the Data Dictionary.
Identifiers – Their goal will be to standardize the Unique Organization Identifier (UOI), Unique System Identifier (USI) and ultimately replace the Organization Unique Identifier (OUID).
RESO’s Working with Real Estate Data
In addition to the new course availability of Working with Real Estate Data – Canada (RED-CA), which is a customized version of the Working with Real Estate – Business (RED-B) course, we are pleased to report two new developments in our RED course series:
