      Recent Entries

      Recent Workgroup and Subgroup Activity

Data Dictionary Workgroup and Transport Workgroup / Certification Subgroup updates are now located in the Product Updates section above. All workgroup notes can be found in the RESO Workgroup Collaboration System powered by Confluence.

      Data Dictionary Subgroups

      Fast Track Subgroup
The group resolved two disputed mapping suggestions, removing proposed mappings for Roman Tub (InteriorFeatures) and Space Rented (ParkingFeatures). Roman Tub was added to the list of suggested Data Dictionary additions. The group reviewed nonstandard LotFeatures lookups, identifying items for further research (lot size ranges) and potential additions to the Data Dictionary (tree types, Dead End). A possible duplication between the View field and the Views lookup in LotFeatures was flagged for the Duplication Subgroup. Staff also demonstrated how AI tools could streamline the mapping suggestion process by generating initial recommendations for workgroup review, with complex cases escalated to the subgroup.

      Global Subgroup
Meetings are on pause while feedback is collected for preferred meeting times, priorities for areas of focus and improving group engagement. Complete the Meeting Times & Strategic Direction survey.

      New Construction Subgroup
The group is reviewing potential definition updates for lookups of the PropertyCondition and DevelopmentStatus fields. They are also reviewing how to remove ambiguity and redundancy in ways to indicate that a property is new construction. Additionally, options are being considered for using relational logic for the NewConstructionYN field.

      Interoperability

The group continued their work on the Offer Management (OM) Data Flow Diagram (DFD), switching to use of the Universal Parcel Identifier (UPI) as the primary anchor (instead of ListingId) and leveraging the ActivityPub protocol as a decentralized method for transmitting offer data. The group is also evaluating whether to lead standards development for modern data licensing, potentially including AI. | Meeting Notes for May 12

      Research and Development

The group is advancing work on standards for the Hierarchical AI Governance & Machine-Readable Usage Rights business case. The goal is to close compliance gaps by creating machine-readable contract terms for AI model data usage. A dedicated subgroup will be formed, and the project will collaborate with the Transport and Data Dictionary workgroups.

The group also agreed that standard data elements for communicating disaster mitigation efforts would be valuable, and this topic has been sent to the Data Dictionary Workgroup.

An alignment analysis is underway to compare the upcoming Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) 3.6 specification with the RESO Data Dictionary to identify alignment, gaps and opportunities.

Finally, the group is refining the scope of smart home data standards. The focus is shifting away from consumer search features and toward practical information often needed when devices are found during walkthroughs, such as reset instructions and contract status. | Meeting Notes for May 14
