Camp Orientation: A Tour of the Working with Real Estate Data Courses
Camp Orientation covers course basics like course format, earning designations, setting up your organization for continued learning, onboarding new staff and educating volunteer leaders.
RESO’s Working with Real Estate Data (RED) courses help to understand how data flows through the industry. They are designed for both nontechnical and technical professionals and cover the organizations, rules, processes and technology systems that create the real estate data ecosystem. Upon completion of a RED course, a student gains a designation for that specific course (e.g., a RED-B designation).
RED-B focuses on major industry concepts, such as brokers, agents, REALTOR® associations, MLSs and standards. RED-CA includes additional content related to The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), the MLS® System trademark in Canada and CREA technology products.
Data in the Wild: Explore RESO Analytics and Alignment Reports
Data in the Wild shows you how to obtain and interpret reports that highlight certification results and other valuable information on how your data lines up with the rest of the industry.

The technical capabilities, utilization and performance of real estate’s data providers are certified and published on RESO Analytics. Vast sets of metadata on industry standards and unique local data elements are organized and charted, driving interoperability, efficiency and transparency for MLSs and their technology partners.
RESO Alignment Reports that center around industry averages, MLS providers and geographical markets pull together published data from the RESO certification process into practical, actionable visualizations and comparisons.
Basecamp: Introduction to the RESO Data Dictionary
Basecamp provides a primer on the RESO Data Dictionary’s purpose, composition and wiki, including details on what has gone into making Data Dictionary 2.0 and Data Dictionary 2.1 extra special. You will also learn how to contribute to the dictionary through RESO workgroups.
