RESO announces that version 1.7.1 has been chosen as the targeted RETS version that will be site certified to satisfy the MLS committee policy deadline of June 2009
Version 1.7.1 – is an errors and omissions revision of 1.7 approved in April 2005. The intent is to avoid any disruptive changes to current 1.7 implementations.
Targeted – RESO will move forward with writing compliance tests to the 1.7.1 specification.
Site – The Certification process will involve testing of the primary production RETS server deployed at each MLS.
Certified – RESO formed the Certification Workgroup with the sole purpose to identify the subset of compliance tests that must be conducted and passed to comply with the NAR MLS Committee Policy. The Certification workgroup will maintain a list of all MLS’s that either a) executed the tests and passed certification, b) executed the tests and failed certification, or c) have not conducted the tests necessary to be considered for certification.
Compliance Testing – the compliance testing workgroup is responsible for identifying the items to test every component of the RETS specification for both servers and clients. Overseeing the development of the tests and the construction of the self service portal.
